Welcome to the YMSL Northwest Hills Chapter!

Young Men’s Service League is a non-profit organization that initiates and encourages young men and their mothers to pursue philanthropic involvement in their community.

Young Men’s Service League, Inc has a National Board of Directors which governs and promotes the expansion of YMSL Chapters throughout the United States to allow young men and their mothers to assist, serve, and support those who are in need in their communities, develop leadership skills among our membership, and promote mother-son relationships. YMSL members have served over 100,000 community service hours since the organization was formed in 2001

YMSL History

YMSL was founded by Pam and Julie Rosener who envisioned an organization that would allow mothers and their high school-aged sons to work together in support of those in need within the community. They recruited other interested mothers who shared their vision and turned that dream into the reality that is now YMSL.

The initial YMSL chapter is in Plano, Texas, where Pam and Julie worked with other empowered mothers and sons to create a highly successful philanthropic and developmental organization for young men and their mothers.

YMSL Northwest Hills History

The Northwest Hills Chapter of YMSL was formed on May 9th, 2014 under the National umbrella by a group of Northwest Hills moms who desired to work together with their teenage sons by serving alongside them in the community. These mothers felt strongly about passing along to their sons a commitment to philanthropy, and they were also looking for a way to spend meaningful time with their teenage sons whose broadening interests took them away so frequently. The Northwest Hills Chapter is currently comprised of over 115 members and their sons in grades 9 through 12

The Northwest Hills Chapter is proud to serve many different philanthropies throughout Austin, Texas, including Any Baby Can, ARC of the Capital Area, Assistance League of Austin, Catholic Charities of Central Texas, Central Texas Food Bank, Drive a Senior, Family Eldercare, Foundation for the Homeless, Goodwill Central Texas, Helping Hand Home for Children, Junior League of Austin’s Coats for Kids, Meals on Wheels, Mobile Loaves and Fishes, Mothers’ Milk Bank of Austin, Partnerships for Children, Ronald McDonald House, St. Louise House, Settlement Home for Children, Special Olympics Texas, and YMCA. We also participate in the Ultimate Gift Event, an annual philanthropy event organized by Nationals for all YMSL Chapters. Contact us for more information.

Membership for the 2023-24 school year is now closed. If you are interested in joining our chapter in 2024, please click the contact membership button below to send us a message.
