Welcome to the Memorial Chapter of the Young Men’s Service League

Mothers & Sons Serving Together to Impact Their Local Community

Houston is the fourth-largest city in the United States.  We cover a lot of territory, and the Memorial Chapter is pleased to join nearly a dozen other chapters in the Greater Houston area to serve the community.

Service is our priority.  We look to participate in service projects that have a long-lasting impact on our community.  Along the way we get to spend quality time with our teenage sons, opening their eyes and heart to the world around them.

In addition to service, YMSL offers valuable leadership opportunities and a four-year curriculum covering life lesson topics and teaching valuable skills such as public speaking and how to interview successfully for a job.  Outside speakers from the community are invited to our meetings which are organized and conducted by student members.

The Memorial Chapter draws from several high schools in our geographic area, including Episcopal High School, The Kincaid School, Second Baptist, Houston Christian, Memorial High School, Strake Jesuit College Preparatory, and Stratford High School.

We look to actively engage, listen and learn.   We look forward to meeting you and serving together.  We are a new chapter with enthusiasm and offering the opportunity for you and your son to make a difference in the world.  We hope you will consider joining us.

Testimonials

Time goes so fast during the high school years. Volunteering together with YMSL has imparted in my son a sense of giving back, which I know will follow him as he leaves home. I am grateful for the Memorial Chapter and the time it’s given us together.
