Welcome to Ashburn

Welcome to our chapter of the Young Men’s Service League!

Our Chapter motto: RISE UP!

R = Respect

I = Integrity

S = Service

E = Experience

U = Understanding

P = Perseverance

The four years of high school go by incredibly fast. Finding time to spend together with your teenage son gets harder and harder. When you join YMSL, you commit to spending quality time together with your son serving your community.

In these moments, he sees your dedication to serving others. You see his eyes and heart become open to the world around him. These are memories to last a lifetime and service projects that impact our community forever.

In addition to service, YMSL offers valuable leadership opportunities and a four-year curriculum that covers topics such as car repair, interview skills, cooking, hazing prevention, and more.

We hope you will consider joining us. The time to start the membership process is during your son’s 8th-grade year. We look forward to meeting you and serving together. Our prospective member meetings will be held in February. Please check back near the end of the year for exact times and locations.

For more information, please use the contact membership button.  We look forward to meeting you!

This is my eighth year with YMSL. I cherish these memories and love volunteering with YMSL and my sons. You really get to know your children in different ways volunteering at these organizations, all the while helping our community.
Kim Bowden, Member Classes of 2024 & 2026Ashburn, VA
“I’ve learned so much about the needs in my community and how I can help meet them. Some of my favorites have been Food for Neighbors, Dulles South Food Pantry, and Honor Flights. Volunteering with my friends and mom makes it even more special.”
Tanner Twomey, YM Class of 2024Ashburn, VA
“The honor flights are very special to me. As a military kid with a father who has deployed twice, I understand the meaning of the veterans’ sacrifices. It is my favorite thing to do with my mom as a part of YMSL.
